The pay TV market is continuously evolving, with new services and features -such as video-on-demand, OTT TV and personalisation –becoming increasingly mandatory. However, many operators are unable to provide these revenue-generating offerings across their entire footprint owing to the existence of a significant installed base of set-top boxes based on obsolete or unsupported software.
One solution to this ‘legacy’ problem is to replace the software in the old boxes with an up-to-date pay TV middleware.
