Skylink has launched the new Samsung EVO-S set-top box, powered by the Zenterio OS, as reported by Broadband TV News. Skylink is a subsidiary of M7 and operates in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
The new receiver builds on the development that Zenterio have done with M7 since 2014. The box allows the additional possibility for the user to connect an external memory for recordings and is the first M7 box, powered by Zenterio, that is sold through retail.
The DTH operator Skylink launched its new Samsung EVO-S hybrid receiver on October 8. The launch is another step to expand the new Skylink Live TV service. Skylink Live TV allows viewers to watch selected programs on other devices in the home (smartphone, tablets or PCs), play back programs from a 30-hour archive and watch online movies from Banaxi. The service is available to all Skylink customers in the two countries – the Czech Republic and Slovakia – the platform operates in. It requires an internet connection of at least 10Mbps.
In order to support SkyLink LiveTV, the new Samsung receiver has a number of features and allows viewers to simultaneously watch and record up to two programs.
