Support Program Manager

The support program manager is responsible for the coordinating bug fixing and invoicing for a customer who has signed a maintenance and support contract. The SPM is the customer’s primary contact when they have issues to escalate. The SPM works closely with both the customer and other areas of the organization, especially Sales, in order to identify potential upsell opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • At the end of a development project, the SPM takes over ownership of the product that is released and becomes the primary customer contact at Zenterio
  • Upsell opportunities follow-up – present ongoing roadmap for potential Change Requests
  • Signing off on the releases before they are sent
  • Negotiate the backlog with the customer
  • Together with Product Owners plan the support releases based on the backlog
  • Leading the Integration Team. The size of and roles in an integration team varies between projects, not all projects have or require an integration team

Skills Valued

  • Leadership: Must be able to both drive and delegate the work and improvements of the project
  • Negotiation: A lot of the SPM’s time will be spent in discussions with the customer. Being able to achieve win-wins is important
  • Structure and order: There are many stakeholders and all of them depend on current and correct information about status
  • Positive attitude and the ability to spread this to others
  • Reasonable domain knowledge within the area of the project
  • A willingness and drive to sell and increase revenue
