A Brief Company History

Zenterio was founded as a part of the Nokia Home Communications division, to develop software for their set-top boxes.

The former Nokia CTO and the software R&D team took Zenterio private.

We worked as independent consultants and continued to develop our software for digital TV with a focus on hardware independency.

We changed focus, becoming a product-based company and began to rollout licenses. Our first deal with a system integrator was also signed during this time.

2010 - 2011

Our first launch with a global system integrator was performed, and we partnered with major set-top box manufacturers.

The company made a breakthrough deal with TCC and expanded to Latin America.

Our software was launched in three European markets, all part of the Deutsche Telekom Group. We also acquired the 27M Group and partnered with Vestel to deliver set-top boxes for the African market.

We continue the Deutsche Telekom roll-out with Germany, Croatia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Greece. We launch Smartbox II for RiksTV in Norway and we acquire VTilt and part of data analytics and ad-tech company Adscribe.

We continue our Deutsche Telekom project and add Megacable, Mexico’s largest MSO, to our list of customers. We also acquire the remaining 75% of Adscribe.
