The Halfpipe

One of the most important competitive advantages in the mobile industry today is attractive design and first-class user experience.

Zenterio has patented navigation and user interface systems for mobile devices and other consumer electronics.

Zenterio has a strong background in usability and interaction design and has spent considerable efforts on making the user interfaces easy and fun to navigate. The navigation system has been thoroughly tested on real users and the result shows a clear preference by the users for the Halfpipe menu compared to standard mobile phone user interfaces. Users found the Halfpipe desktop to be both easier to use and much more fun and exciting.

Control-IT

One of the most appealing services for mobile devices is multimedia playback—like music video clips, news clips, sports results, MP3 music files, viewing user’s photo albums etc. To improve the user experience in multimedia playback, Zenterio has invented and patented an innovative media control interface, Control-IT.

Control-IT is a revolutionary way to navigate streaming video that enables most functions of a traditional mediaplayer in a graphical user interface suited for playback on a device with limited number of buttons.

With Control-IT, the user can easily and intuitively perform a wide range of media playback operations using only the device’s four navigation keys (or the joystick). Examples of operations are play forward, play backward, stop, pause, fast forward and backward in different speeds, slow motion forward and backward, change of play list etc.

An example is to use Control-IT as the main menu for a mobile phone music player, where the user has access to a Control-IT based interface to handle the play, pause, fast forward, rewind, etc.
