Telecard-Pribor Ltd adopt Zenterio turn-key digital TV solution to deliver cable TV receiver to Ukraine customers.
Zenterio AB today announced, together with Ukraine Telecard-Pribor Ltd, a joint collaboration to develop a new digital receiver based on Zenterio's product design for the Ukraine cable TV market in 2008.
The set top boxes will be produced by Telecard-Pribor in their modern factories in the Odessa area.
"We are very pleased that Tele Card recognizes the value of our DVB solution, and selected our leading design technologies for their new set top box" says Kent Lundberg, CEO at Zenterio.
The design comprises of Zenterio’s complete cable TV turn-key solution based on ST Microelectronics chipsets. It is utilizing the latest tools in content protection including chip set pairing technologies, which ensures conditional access while securing subscription revenues.
The graphical user interface makes the receiver simple to operate, with a user friendly on-screen display and a full-function infrared remote control. The interface has built-in help in the local language, which is always only a single button push away.

The companies are expecting to launch the new product to reach the consumer market in early Q3 2008.

Zenterio behind new software development for new OpenTel digital TV Receiver
Zenterio behind new software development for new OpenTel digital TV Receiver, jointly developed with Korean OpenTech Inc.
Zenterio provided the powerful and easy to use software for the STi5119-based solution for the new OpenTel digital TV receiver, available for both cable and terrestrial networks (DVB-T, DVB-C). The solution is produced by Korean OpenTech Inc for the Finnish market, and is available in stores now.
Among other things, the software includes support for Conax™ Conditional Access, a full schedule Electronic Programme Guide, An easy-to-use installation wizard and user interface, built-in user's instructions and menus in multiple languages.
ZiDS is a software platform for digital television standards (DVB-S/T/C and IP-TV). It has been designed to provide a high degree of modularity and portability at a low cost and it has proved to be very easily integrated on a number of different hardware, Operating Systems and middleware combinations.
